SUE GARNS BELLHOUSE: M.A., Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
- Born and raised on the East Coast, Sue began learning American Sign Language in 1970.
1972 she came to California to work with Rev. Delbert Hosteller. He became her mentor and introduced her to Deaf culture & community. She has lived and worked within Deaf Community for nearly 4 decades. In 1989 while working as a professional interpreter she became aware of the great need for professional therapists who are fluent in A.S.L. and understand Deaf Culture. Sue went back to graduate school and in 1992 graduated with two M.A. degrees in Marriage Family Therapy and Pastoral Counseling and became an accomplished licensed Marriage Family Therapist. She is adept in working with the Deaf, Hearing Impaired, Deaf-Blind, and Hearing persons alike. Sue's pleasant demeanor, gracious concern, and utmost care is her customary approach. Her communication skills, A.S.L. fluency, and extensive experience makes her an exceptional counselor and therapist. Sue is available for psychological evaluations, counseling, therapy, and consultations. She is approved as an expert within the courts, justice centers, and detention centers.

- Born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. James was born Deaf. He has 2 brothers & 3 sisters, two of his siblings are Deaf. James grew up in a mainstream educational program. He earned an A.A. degree from Golden West College and a B.A. degree from West Coast Deaf Bible College. James has been involved in the Deaf community in southern California for many years. In addition to his college degree he studied psychology & inner healing. Deaf friends & acquaintances have continually sought Jame's assistance & advice regarding relationships and communication. James is a skillful listener, perceptive, compassionate, patient, and highly regarded for his insight and wisdom, that is just a few reasons why Sue married him!
